Aaron Christensen is a partner at Smith and Christensen, LLP. Mr. Christensen counsels companies on a broad range of personnel and corporate matters. When legal matters become adversarial, Mr. Christensen represents companies during initial administrative proceedings through the appellate levels of federal and state litigation. Mr. Christensen regularly advises and defends on matters arising under the various anti-discrimination and employment law statutes. Mr. Christensen and the firm provide experienced representation in the Union context, addressing election matters, grievance proceedings and collective bargaining. His corporate litigation experience includes defending complex fiduciary claims against a corporation and its directors and defending against a minority shareholder’s demands for dissolution.
Mr. Christensen is admitted to the North Carolina and South Carolina Bars, all Federal District Courts in North Carolina and South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Christensen is a certified mediator. He regularly appears as a featured speaker and CLE instructor at seminars on labor, employment, benefits and utility matters. He is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Electric Cooperative Bar Association (ECBA).
