Mr. Christensen completed his mediator’s training in 2002. He is certified with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and is available to provide mediation services throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
Mediated Solutions in Discrimination Litigation
Mr. Christensen has represented companies and individuals at the administrative, trial and appellate levels of discrimination litigation. He has handled a number of cases arising under Title VII, the ADA and the ADEA. He has a particular concentration with harassment claims, from both the Plaintiff’s and the Defendant’s perspective.
Mr. Christensen understands the range of issues for both sides of a dispute and he knows first hand the importance of having the right mediator on the case. His in-depth experience with discrimination litigation makes him well qualified to help shepherd complex employment claims to a successful alternative resolution.

Broad Perspectives for Mediating ERISA Claims
Mr. Christensen has experience representing individuals, employers and employer-sponsored plans in ERISA litigation.
Mr. Christensen has litigated or otherwise successfully resolved several denial of benefit claims. He has also litigated complicated fiduciary issues. As a result of these experiences, he is well versed on many of the intricacies of this sometimes complex area of law.
Mediating Corporate Disputes
Mr. Christensen represents corporations and boards in a variety of business law matters. This work includes a variety of sales transactions, complex contract negotiations, litigation of director fiduciary obligations, municipal franchise issues and a broad range of electric and telephone utility issues. Mr. Christensen has substantial experience in dealing with for-profit corporations under Chapter 55 of the North Carolina General Statutes and non-profit corporations under Chapter 55A.
Mr. Christensen understands the perspectives and concerns of corporate clients and will work as a catalyst to resolving seemingly intractable conflicts among business entities.
